One of our friendly, and highly trained, Lice Removal Technicians will arrive on-time in an unmarked vehicle, pre-arranged for a time that suits your hectic family schedule. We come equipped with all the necessary supplies to check all family members, remove the lice and nits, and provide educational support to ease your mind. While there, we will also advise you on how to take simple steps to clean your bedding and other areas of your home at NO additional cost. A few simple steps involving your washer/dryer and vacuum are all it takes. Do not be fooled by claims of spraying chemicals (organic or pesticide) to treat your environment. They are unnecessary, potentially harmful, and a waste of your money.
Removal Service: $85 per client
Our experts will be able to show you exactly what is being removed, and help you determine (based on the life cycle) how long you may have had head lice. This will help you in determining your next course of action… protecting yourself from future infestations!
Lice Screening: $12.50 per client
This process can take up to 30 minutes per client.
Our highly trained Discreet Lice Removal technicians utilize the effective "Lacada" method, a proven procedure developed by DLR's medical staff, in which all strands of the hair are thoroughly combed to be certain nothing is left to chance. Although lice and their eggs may be seen without magnification, the viability of eggs cannot be judged without proper magnification and some knowledge of what hatched and unhatched eggs look like.
Most lice screening is done using small wooden (pediculosis) sticks to separate the hair and look for lice. This "needle in a haystack" method is ineffective and could possibly miss a very recent exposure.
All members of the family/household should be screened simultaneously to ensure re-infestation does not occur. The nominal per head fee for screening is waived for clients requiring removal service.
Follow-up Visits: Optional $35 per client
Our follow-up visits are scheduled within 5 to 7 days of the prior visit. Although optional, they are recommended. This process provides a full re-combing and usually takes 1/4 to 1/2 of the time of our initial combing. Because it is often unclear as to where the lice problem may have originated, this will guarantee that no new “pesky friends” have dropped by for a visit. Staying on top of things in this fashion will assure you that you have eliminated your problem for good! It is at this time that our guarantee* will become effective.
*If any covered member of the household has an outbreak within the 14 day guarantee period, DLR will return to the household and provide additional inspection, removal and hair cleaning at no charge. Samples must be provided for technicians to inspect. All "false alarms" will be charged a $50 service call.
Lice Education: Priceless
Additionally, our personnel will provide comprehensive education in the most effective and successful methods to eliminate lice from the environment to prevent re-infestation. A helpful checklist is left behind for you outlining important steps to follow.
